From now on, every Friday, I will (try to) post a random Photoshopped image. And no, I am not copying Something Awful, because I haven’t called it Photoshop Phriday.
So I was thinking one day, wouldn’t it be cool if you could actually kiss an elephant without it charging and probably trampling you to death, perhaps its must season and the elephants are extra pissed off, but all you want is a simple kiss. The only way, I thought, of this ever happening was if you were too somehow steal the machine from Honey I Shrunk the Kids, and shrink an elephant, simple.

Possible sequel?‘Gunmen shoot Sri Lanka cricketers’ Has been the headline in most newspapers earlier this week. It made me wonder what it would have been like if those cricketers was English? This is PROBABLY what it would have looked like:

(note the locals not paying any attention, because they are used to the English behaving like this)
I am still a beginner with Photoshop (as you can tell) I found it hard in this one to make the imported images fit in with the background.
I finished the Persistence of Memory quicker than I thought! it was fun to make, I think I can do better around the tree and the clock hanging from the tree.
Here is the original:

And here is mine:

Recently I had a brilliant idea to copy famous artworks in Photoshop, but instead of using paint, I would use stock photos that I find on the Internet. My first one Ive done so far…is pretty simple… its The Man in the Bowler Hat by Belgian surrealist painter René Magritte. Surrealism is my favorite type of art, mainly because, at just a glance it is something weird and un-meaningful, but if you look carefully (most) surrealist art has deeper meanings. ANYWAY here is my version of it:

And here is the original:

I am going to do more, I have started on a more complicated one, The Persistance of Memory by Salvador Dali. It should be fun melting those clocks ! (if only there was a ‘Clock Melt’ tool in Photoshop).
With the endless possibility’s that Photoshop brings, I decided to have a little fun with my friends on Facebook. I start by finding a suitable photo with one of my friends in it, then the fun begins.
Once I have found the photo of my friend I have to start thinking and deciding what would be funny to change in the photo. Then I need to find the image, or images, that I will be manipulating into that photo.
Here is a few I have done so far:
Graham Norton at a party with my friend?
Dale Winton, a close friend of my neighbour ?
Down the pub with Justin Timberlake?
I recently followed a good tutorial teaching the basics of photo manipulation and animal morphing. Here
Mine turned out pretty similar to the one shown, so I decided to have a go myself. I chose to combine a parrots beak onto a cats head with a jungle background. (no I do not have mental health problems)
Here is the result:

he will get you..
Finished the new look…well to be fair it was not much, only new Banner and About page, but every little counts…
Recently I have started to play with Photoshop, I am still a beginner, but its just so fun !
Took me a while to make the banner in Photoshop CS3. Here is a summery of what I did:
So first I got the photo of the computer and piece of smashed glass. I then cut out the background of the computer monitor using the pen tool, I did the same to remove the monitors original screen. With the broken glass, I had resize and Skew the image to get the correct perspective (Edit>Transform>Skew)

ANYWAY – The next step is to add in the pile of keyboard keys. I found a photo of a blank key and simply added some text onto it in the appropriate colour and size. I rotated the keys slightly so that it looked messy, and finally added a Gaussian Blur, which gives the impression the keys are in the distance (and to allow the Disgruntalism keys to stand out more)

In the above screenshot you can see around the hammer I added some shadow with the Burn tool, making it fit in with computer (kind of).
Next part is to add the Disgruntalism text, I used the same keyboard keys as I used previously with the background, just slightly bigger, I had to resize them slightly so that the 13 letter word would fit into the banner. The tiny border you can see in the finished banner at the top of the page was created whilst following

Cant really call this a tutorial as such, but I just wanted to walkthrough how I made the banner.
P.S – I almost had a panic attack thinking I had spelt Disgruntalism wrong…
